Department of Computer Applications at the IMS BUSINESS SCHOOL offers a distinguished two-year MCA programme with an annual 60 intake of students and a Four Years BCA programme with an annual 60 intake of students. MCA is a postgraduate degree in computer science that lasts for 2 years and is awarded in India after completing four semesters. The course is created to fulfill the increasing need for skilled individuals in the Information Technology industry. This course is available for those who have already completed their Bachelor's Degree. The focus of the MCA program is on Application Development, with a strong emphasis on utilizing the most up-to-date programming languages and tools to create improved and quicker applications. The MCA syllabus covers four semesters of subjects like programming, networking, and database management system.

ELIGIBILITY

To maintain the tradition of academic excellence of the Institute, eligibility criteria are stringent. Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree. OR Passed B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. with Mathematics at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the MAKAUT norms ). Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying JECA Entrance Examination .

Selection for the day programme will be through WB JECA Exam.
