Disciplinary Policy Highlights
Attendance
The students of IMS Business School are required to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance every semester. Any student failing to meet the above standard is liable to get his or her term cancelled and in addition will not be allowed to participate in the Campus Recruitment Program. Feedback based on the monthly monitoring of attendance helps students maintain the minimum required attendance.
Dress Code
At IMS Business School, we believe in inculcating a sense of discipline and belongingness in the students by observing a strict dress code. When guest lectures, seminars are scheduled, students are expected to be dressed up in IMSBS Uniform (Blazers, Tie, Shirt, Trousers). A student failing to adhere to the dress code will not be allowed to attend the lectures and will face disciplinary action.
Drug / Alcohol Policy
Students of IMSBS must abstain from drugs and alcohol during their stay at the institute. Violation of this policy will lead to cancellation of admission. The following actions on the part of a student shall be considered as acts of gross indiscipline:
- Loitering in the corridors or inside the canteen/common room during class hours is strictly prohibited.
- Students are expected to keep the walls of the building clean and cooperate with authorities for cleanliness.
- Students should ensure that college properties, laboratory equipment, and library books are not damaged due to careless handling.
- Maintenance of silence in the library is mandatory.
- Malpractices in the examination hall are strictly prohibited.
- Disrespectful behavior toward teachers and staff is not allowed.
- Intrusion of male students in the Girls’ common room is prohibited.
- No student or visitor is permitted to use any tobacco product at any time.
